Our official political position and statement
Omega Delta Sigma is made up of a wide variety of people from every walk of life with the one commonality, that we are all honorable military veterans.
In order to properly respect each of our Sisters and Brothers and their individual beliefs we take an official position of non-political affiliation or action. We each swore to protect the Constitution of the United States of America to defend our nation from all enemies foreign or domestic, and in those times when military action may be used by our nation, we as her veterans may feel a particular way about that. It is not our intent to be on the sidelines, nor side idly by, but we will not infringe on our Sisters and Brothers views or rights to take actions in whatever political or lawful manner they so choose.
We support the ideals of a free nation. We hold as a core value the right to free speech of all the citizens of this great nation to explore their personal views so long as they conform to the law.
This fraternity will always do its best to act in a way that is respectful and considerate to our Brothers and Sisters above all else, and sometimes that means not making a statement or taking a stance, but supporting the rights of all free persons in this country to stand for what they believe in.
Individuals will have a variety of opinions on the actions of America, and her lawful government, but this fraternity will not align itself one way or the other. We support veterans rights, the services they need, deserve, and have earned, and nothing beyond that one way or another.
